CONTAMINATED SITE

In response to a release of petroleum products from regulated tanks, the Leaking Underground Storage Tank Section of the Department of Environment Protection on has had a Corrective Action Plan developed for the following site:

The facility consists of one convenience store building, a cinder block storage building, three gasoline underground storage tanks, and one diesel and one kerosene above ground storage tanks.
Chemicals of potential concern include volatile organic compounds benzene, total BTEX, and MTBE; and total petroleum hydrocarbons - gasoline range organics.
The Corrective Action Plan briefly describes the extent of the release and details the proposed cleanup methods for contamination at the site. Copies of the plan are available for public review at the following locations between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (please make an appointment):

REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS

SUITT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, 100 Galliher Drive, Fairmont, WV 26554 (304)333-2313 seeks subcontractors to pre-qualify for DESIGN-BUILD SECURITY SYSTEMS on the INSTITUTE FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, INC. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FACILITY project in Fairmont, WV. ALL prospective bidders must obtain pre-qualification forms from SUITT. Contact Ms. Barbara Copen to obtain pre-qualification forms. The forms must be filled out and returned to SUITT for consideration and approval prior to release of bid packages and bidding. Only qualified bidders will be invited to submit proposals for design and construction of security systems based on security program requirements to be issued with the invitation to Bid. The DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DATA IS DECEMBER 15, 2003, BY 5:00 PM EST. Bidder qualification will be based on experience, bonding capacity, insurance, safety record, and other criteria. Project scope is 263,000 SF office/reserach facility, currently under construction. Invitations to Bid will be issued to qualified bidders in mid-December. The bidding period will be approximately three weeks. SUITT encourages minority, disadvantaged, and WV-based businesses to participate.



THE MARSHVILLE COMMUNITY Center Trustees will hold their annual business meeting on Wednesday, November 12th at 7 PM at the community center. This is a public meeting. The election/re-election of trustees will be held and other business will be open for review.
