Indians, SH earn victories in volleyball

Bridgeport swept Lincoln 15-1, 15-9 in prep volleyball action on Monday.

Renee Sabatelli led the Indians (2-2) with 10 points, while

Janet Sabatelli added 9 points and 10 assists.

Christa Romesburg had 6 spikes and 1 kill for Bridgeport.

Lincoln (0-3) was led by Kelly Burnett's 4 points and 4 assists.

Angie Matheny had 3 kills and 1 block, while Jaime Toothman added 2 points and 1 kill for Lincoln.

· HAWKS TOP B-U: South Harrison came from behind in the second set to sweep Buckhannon-Upshur 15-6, 17-15.

The Hawks (3-1) were behind as many as 10 points in the second set before storming back to take the win.

South Harrison's team effort was led by Hope West's 7 points, 5 kills and 2 aces.

Jessica Little had 9 points and 2 aces, Casey Davisson had 25 sets and 5 assists, Sarah Byrd had 5 kills and Clenta Bond had 5 aces.

The Buccaneers were led by Amber Bailey's 8 points. Kim Jones followed with 7 points while Kara Cvechko had 6.
