Imogene E. Bartlett

SHINNSTON -- Imogene E. Bartlett, 83, of Gypsy Hill, died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, June 7,, 2003 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg.

She was born May 9, 1920 at Frenchton, Upshur County, a daughter of the late Orvis Skidmore and Retta Skidmore Vance.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Carl A. Bartlett, who died July 7, 1991, and her brother, Orvis "Burton" Skidmore.

Surviving are three children, Nancy Richards and husband, Joe, Carl E. "Bugs" Bartlett and wife Cindy, all of Shinnston, and Richard L. "Rick" Bartlett, Clarksburg; 6 grandchildren, Lisa Morgan and husband, Joseph, Carla Morgan and husband, Robert, Jay D. Richards, Kelly Efaw and husband, Todd, Jason Bartlett and Melinda Yost; 4 great-grandchildren, Kristi Marra, Melissa Maxwell, Danielle Morgan and Mike Yost; 3 sisters, Maxine Biafore, Clarksburg, Mildred Manning, Lumberport, and Wanda Dilly and husband, Teddy, West Union; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston, from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.

Arnet R. 'Junie' Davis Jr.

BUCKHANNON -- Arnet R. "Junie" Davis Jr., 64, of 7th St., Arlington Addition, Clarksburg, WV, died Saturday, June 7, 2003 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

He was born March 17, 1939 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Arnett R. Davis Sr. and Pauline V. Mick.

He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Burr Davis of Clarksburg, whom he married May 31, 1961. He is also survived by two sons, John A. Davis of Baltimore, Md., and Timothy S. Davis of Clarksburg; three daughters, Cathy L. Davis of Clarksburg, JoAnne Gizzi of Stafford, VA, and June Marie Davis of Clarksburg; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle Davis and Lowell Mick, both of Clarksburg; a sister, Sharon Bork of Clarksburg; 2 half-sisters and 3 half-brothers.

Mr. Davis was a retail salesman. He was Pentecostal by faith. He graduated from Victory High School in 1957.

Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, Inc., 95 S. Kanawha St., Buckhannon, WV. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Matheny officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Quiet Dell.

Betty Louise Linger

FLATWOODS -- Betty Louise Linger, 71, of Glenville, WV, died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at the home of her daughter.

She was born Dec. 28, 1931 in Gilmer County, a daughter of Pearl Greenlief Pyles of Glenville, WV, and the late Charlie Greenlief.

She was also preceded in death by husbands Henry Lee Luzader and Richard Nelson Linger, and a granddaughter, Angela Parsons.

Betty retired from Glenville State College as a food service worker. She was a member of the Little Kanawha Independent Church and the Glenville Rebecca Lodge.

She is survived by four daughters, Anna Parsons of Parkersburg, WV, Ruthlea Jarrell of Cleveland, TN, Marlene K. Fox of Glenville, WV, and Rose Mary Douglas-Hylbert of Charleston, WV; one son, Roger Lee Luzader of Glenville, WV; five grandchildren, Monica Thomas, Jessie Ramsey, Bryan Luzader, Sarah Douglas and Larry Fox; a great-granddaughter, Aryanna Thomas, and several half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at the Little Kanawha Independent Church at Burnsville, with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Fork Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 till 8 p.m. Monday at the Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home at Flatwoods, WV, and one hour prior to service time at the church.

Bernice Pauline Rudy

FAIRMONT -- Mrs. Bernice Pauline Rudy, 72, of Fairmont died Saturday morning June 7, 2003, at Wishing Well Manor. She was born in Rachel, WV, on May 7, 1931, daughter of the late Michael and Helen Homa Lazorick.

She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Rudy; and one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Paul Thobois, all of Morgantown; one grandson, Alexander E. Rudy; and one sister, Mrs. Julie Shelosky of Monongah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Rudy, on March 17, 2001; two brothers, John Hudanich and Mike Lazorick; and six sisters, Mary Pancake, Anna Napalo, Susan Fonte, Margaret Lazorick, Anna Paul and Helen VanHorn.

Friends may call at the Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Avenue, Fairmont, Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 1-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Fr. John Agapito as celebrant. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.

There will be a prayer vigil Monday at 7 p.m. at Ross Funeral Home.

Frank Steven 'Spike' Senchina

CLARKSBURG -- Frank Steven "Spike" Senchina, 52, of Clarksburg passed away Friday, June 6, 1950 at Clarksburg, the son of Aretta Katherine Tichnell Senchina of Clarksburg and the late Frank Senchina.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Senchina.

He attended St. James Catholic School.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston from 4-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Robert Pereillo officiating. A wake service will be held Monday at 8 p.m. Interment will follow in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.

Adelene Stalnaker

PHILIPPI -- Adelene Stalnaker, age 80, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003 in the United Hospital Center. She made her home with a daughter and son-in-law, James and Sherry Perry of Bridgeport, WV. She was a former resident of Grafton.

She was born March 3, 1923 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Elsie Swiger Williams. She was united in marriage in 1941 to Roy William Stalnaker, who preceded her in death in 1972.

Surviving are 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Shelia Weiland, Painesville, Ohio, Sandra and husband Sonny Markley, Hampton, Virginia, Sherry and husband James Perry, Bridgeport, WV, and Shelby and husband Stephen Bortone, Sanibul, FL; 4 sons, Duane Stalnaker, Fayetteville, N.C., Charles Stalnaker, Grafton, WV, and Jerry Stalnaker, Grafton, WV; Jerry Stalnaker, Grafton, WV; 2 sisters, Daisy Heatherly, Rosewood Nursing Home, Grafton, and Florence Wright, Muncie, Indiana; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Billy Stalnaker; 1 daughter-in-law, Marcia Stalnaker; 2 grandchildren, Randall Duane Stalnaker and Gary Corpentes; 1 son-in-law, Joseph Weiland; 3 brothers, Ivan, Randolph and Harry Williams; 4 sisters, Myrtle Weese, Lottie Nutter, Gracie McDaniel and Ethel Doane.

Mrs. Stalnaker was retired from Alderson-Broaddus College as a cook and worked for 28 years in the food services industry.

She was a member of Grafton Baptist Church.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi after 7 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday till 3 p.m., the service hour. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Don Harward officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Beverly, WV.

PINE GROVE -- Jack Allen Trader, 69, of Folsom, WV, died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at his home.

He was retired from Glory Coal at Dola, WV and was a Protestant by faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford H. and Nettie E. Hayhurst Trader; 1 brother, Glenn D., and 1 sister, Helen Johnson.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene Fisher Trader; 1 son, Allen, of Pine Grove, WV; 1 daughter, Anita King of Folsom, WV; 1 brother, Mikel of Folsom, WV; 2 sisters, Nellie Johnson and Phyllis Johnson, both of Mooresville, WV; 4 grandchildren, Amber King, Courtney Trader, Bradley Trader and Brady King, and 1 step-grandson, Mike King.

Friends will be received from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, WV, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Pine Grove, WV.
