United Hospital Center has an immediate full-time opening for a Registered Dietitian in their Food Service Department. Responsibilities of this position will be to apply principles of nutrition in monitoring nutritional status of hospital patients and assures that appropriate nutrition intervention occurs. He/she will plan and direct the preparation of modified diet menus prescribed by the Medical Staff for patients with therapeutic diet needs, and provide related instructions to the patient and family.
Qualifications include, High School graduate, B.S. or advanced degree in foods, nutrition or food service administration, completion of ADA approved internship program and current registry by the American Dietetic Association. The successful candidate must have the ability to deal with patients on a one to one basis and take continuing education courses in accordance with priorities.
