Point Park outslugs Salem-Teikyo

From Staff Reports

Point Park jumped to a 5-0, first-inning lead and put Salem-Teikyo (4-3) away with an 11-run fifth in a 16-10 victory Saturday.

Scot Peace paced a 13-hit Tigers attack with a pair of home runs. Tom Sutton had three hits, including a pair of doubles. Danny Rulli, Lee Williamson and Brian Brockman each hit home runs and combined to drive in seven runs.

n A-B SPLITS TWO: Alderson-Broaddus split a doubleheader with Frostberg State (Md.) Saturday. Alderson-Broaddus won the opener, 3-2, and lost the second game, 4-3.

Josh Haggerty earned the win in the opener. Greg Oleska went 3-for-3 and Adam McDaniel added two hits for A-B.

McDaniel and Nate Gladwell each drove in runs for A-B in the second game.

A-B (1-2) hosts California (Pa.) at noon today.
