MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia University's women's basketball team will host its own Thanksgiving Tournament this season, as part of its 11-game non-conference schedule released Monday.

The Mountaineer women, 14-14 last season under new coach Mike Carey, will play five nonconference games at home and five on the road during the 2002-2003 season.

West Virginia will host the Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 29-30. Other teams included are Akron, Coppin State and Troy State. West Virginia's opponents have not been determined.

Other home games include Delaware State on Dec. 4, Wright State on Dec. 18 and Duquesne on Dec. 21.

Road games are at Mt. St. Mary's on Nov. 22, Bucknell on Nov. 25, Robert Morris on Dec. 7, Ohio on Dec. 15 and Missouri-Kansas City on Dec. 29.

On Jan. 22, the Mountaineers will face state rival Marshall at the Civic Center in Charleston in the annual Toyota Capital Classic.
