David Franklin Este III
CLARKSBURG -- David Franklin Este III, age 51, Route 6, Box 602A, Clarksburg, WV, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28, 2002, in the United Hospital Center.
He was born in Clarksburg, WV, January 27, 1951, a son of the late Frank Este and the late Alice Maseda Este.
Surviving are his wife, Mitzi Maze Este, whom he married August 24, 1990; two sons, Joshua Walker, at home, Andy Lake and wife, Holly, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Tamala "Tammy" Este, at home and Lisha Walker, at home; one brother and wife, Jim and Jan Este, Nutter Fort, WV; two sisters, Mrs. Chuck (Marion) Powell, Nutter Fort and Mrs. Dave (Barbara) Bonnett, Clarksburg, WV; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Maze, Stonewood, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a former wife, Linda Weekley Este; and by a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Tim Freshour.
David was an ardent hunting, shooting and fishing enthusiast.
He was a member of the Central West Virginia Shooting Club, the West Virginia State Rifle & Pistol Association, the National Rifle Association and Lumberport Archers Association.
He had been an oil field worker for BJ Services, Clarksburg, WV.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home Thursday, August 1, 2002, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend O.D. Harman presiding.
Interment will be in Stonewall Park Cemetery.

Arlie Hinerman
SHINNSTON -- Arlie Hinerman, 91, of Route 1, Worthington, Little Bingamon Community, died at 10:15 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2002, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was a born at Mannington, May 10, 1911, a son of the late Ellis and Sarah Jane Long Hinerman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Vada Lou Cottrell Hinerman, January 13, 2000.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Emilie Hinerman, Little Bingamon; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah Jane and Paul Shaver, Little Bingamon, Virginia Lee and Tommy Hamrick, O'Dell's Knob, Icie Jean Raulerson and her companion, Quinton Thorton; 21 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Roberta Hinerman, Little Bingamon; and several nieces and nephews, including Chuck Gray, Metz.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and James Mays; one son, Albert Hinerman; eight brothers, Jasper, Edward, Virgil, Ernest, Ford, Melvin, Homer Lee and Herbert Hinerman; and two sisters, Mary Virginia Hinerman Garland and Ruby Jane Hinerman.
Mr. Hinerman was a coal miner, having retired from the Consolidation Coal Company, Robinson Run Mine, with 47 years service. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and was a Methodist by faith.
Friends may call at the Dorsey Funeral Home in Shinnston from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 2-9 p.m. Monday, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30. Donald E. McClung
BRIDGEPORT -- Donald E. McClung, 77, of Willey Street, Morgantown, WV, died on Monday, July 29, 2002, at West Virginia University Hospitals, Ruby Memorial. He was born November 28, 1924, the son of the late Lynn Edwin and Minnie Palmer McClung. Mr. McClung was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia H. McClung on May 14, 2002.
Mr. McClung is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Amy McClung of Morgantown, WV, Dave and Dot McClung of Westover, WV; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Katie, Kelsey, Emily and Daniel McClung; one sister, Betty June Lewis of Bridgeport, WV; and one nephew and his family, Charles Lewis of Akron, Ohio.
Mr. McClung retired from the field of broadcasting. He worked for several television and radio stations including: WBLKÚWBOY in Clarksburg, WTAP in Parkersburg, WDTV in Bridgeport and WMMN in Fairmont. He enjoyed helping others by volunteering, which included driving the Morgantown Unity Manor bus, being a member of the Retired Senior Volunteers of Monongalia County and the BOPARC Senior Recreational Center Kitchenaire Band.
Mr. McClung was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States 4th Marine Division. He served in the Pacific Theater, including Iwo Jima.
Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Stephen Gocking officiating. The interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV.

CLARKSBURG -- Paul J. Snider Jr., "The Big Guy", age 53, of 407 Maple Avenue, Stonewood, WV, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2002, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born in Buckhannon, WV, December 8, 1948, a son of Mrs. June Lucille Crites Snider Martin of Southern Avenue, Stonewood, and the late Paul J. Snider, Sr. He was also the stepson of the late Jack Martin.
Surviving are, his wife, Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Griffith Snider, whom he married October 5, 1968; two daughters and sons-in-law, Missy and Patrick Jeffers, Bridgeport, WV and Cindy and Jimmy Howvalt, Fairmont, WV; two granddaughters, Abigail Madison Jeffers, Bridgeport, WV and Adrienne Daniella Howvalt, Fairmont, WV; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry "Rabbit" and Lesita Snider, Stonewood, WV; three stepsisters and husbands, Brenda and Ron Griffin, Bridgeport, Barbara and Tom Courtney, Clarksburg and Debbie and Roger Walker, North Carolina; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Joann Griffith, Stonewood; one niece, Shelly Barnett; one nephew, Jamie Snider; and one great-nephew, Dominique Cook.
"Coach" Snider was a well-known teacher and coach in Harrison County for 31 years, employed at Roosevelt-Wilson Junior High and High School, Washington Irving Middle School and Bridgeport High School. He graduated from R-W High School and Fairmont State College and had his master's degree. He was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at Fairmont State. He had been a member of the Stonewall United Methodist Church and attended the Congregational Missionary Church with his wife. He was a loving father and husband, who devoted his life to his family and all of the students and players he worked with through the many years he coached.
Paul loved to play golf, especially with his brother, "Rabbit," Jim Fittro and Rocky Zannino, and his favorite activity of all was spending time with his favorite girls, Abigail and Adrienne, his grand-daughters.
Friends may call at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg from 2-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2002, at 1 p.m. at the Congregational Missionary Church in Stonewood, with Pastor Ron DiCiolla conducting the service. Mr. Snider will lie-in-state at the church from 12-1 p.m. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery.

Bobbie Louise Stemple
CLARKSBURG -- Bobbie Louise Stemple, age 75, of 4021Ú2 Ohio Avenue, Nutter Fort, died at 7:59 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2002, in the United Hospital Center, following a brief illness. She was born in Clarksburg on July 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles (Charlie) Starcher and Ava Bealuh Taylor Starcher. Her husband, Leonard Edwin Stemple, survives.
Also surviving are several nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Pauline Miller and Claudia Olive Stout.
Mrs. Stemple was retired from the United Hospital Center with thirty years service as a dietitian.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2002, with the Reverend O.D. Harman presiding.

Katie Taylor Williams
SALEM -- Katie Taylor Williams, 96, formerly of Salem, WV, died Monday, July 29, 2002, at the Genesis Elder Care, Sistersville Center, Sistersville, WV.
She was born July 31, 1905, at Weston, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Lucretia Moneypenny Taylor.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Dorothy Wickam and husband, Larry of Sistersville, WV, Joanna Reynolds of Mohawk, NY; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in the Clarksburg and Salem area.
She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Patsy Early, Betty Mason; 4 sons, Hamilton Taylor, Richard Taylor, James Taylor, Ralph Taylor; and 2 sisters, Thelma Swiger and Rosemary McAvoy.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2002, at the Harbert Funeral Home, Salem, WV, with the Reverend Kevin Bender officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Salem, WV. Family will receive friends at the Harbert Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, August 1, 2002.
