FAIRMONT -- Dominick A. Eates, 72, of Monongah, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 28, 1928, in Monongah, a son of the late Daniel and Gaetana Capozzi Eates.
His wife, Mary Larry Eates, preceded him in death on July 11, 1993.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Daniel and Frances Eates, Washington, Pa.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia T. and J.T. Hodges, Fairmont; five grandchildren, John Daniel, JoAnn and Sarah Eates, Washington, Kim Jacob Thompson, Monongah, and Jessica Jo Hodges, Fairmont; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Thompson, Monongah; three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Anthony Eates, all of Fairmont; and one sister, Angeline Eates, Monongah.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Nicholas and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Eates.
Mr. Eates was retired from Sharon Steel Corporation and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 9, Fairmont, the American Legion Post 17, Fairmont, and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Monongah.
CLARKSBURG -- Martha Louise Ferris, 81, of West Pike Street, Clarksburg, died suddenly Monday, May 8, 2000, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg.
She was born July 28, 1918, in Hall, a daughter of the late George W. and Carrie Post Anglin.
She was married to Robert E. Ferris, who preceded her in death on April 20, 1983.
Surviving are one son, Robert E. Ferris;two grandsons, Mark Ferris and Joseph Ferris, all of Weirton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Stapp and Katherine Goss.
Mrs. Ferris was a retired machine operator with the Carnation Milk Plant with 20 years of service. She was a member of the Senior Citizens, the AARP of Clarksburg, and was Methodist.
Friends and family will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 443 West Pike St., Clarksburg, from 7-9 p.m. today, where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Olen Robertson officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
BUCKHANNON -- Helen K. Long, 76, of Crofton, Md., formerly of Kesling Mill community, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at Crofton Convalescent Center, Crofton.
She was born June 2, 1923, in Pickens, a daughter of the late Boyd Alkire and Sarah Ramsey Alkire.
Her husband, Hunter A. Long, whom she married Dec. 7, 1946, preceded her in death on June 6, 1988.
Surviving are one son, Gary Long, Edgewater, Md.; one daughter, Marilyn Sanalitro, Crofton; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Phyllis Linger, Hinkleville; and three brothers, Boyd Alkire Jr., Bervard, N.C., Denzil Alkire, Gassaway, and Dallas Alkire, Broadway, Va.
MANNINGTON -- Robert Allen Morgan, 59, of Route 2, Mannington, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Fairmont General Hospital.
He was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Mannington, a son of the late Clifford Morgan and Iris Huffman Morgan Clovis.
His wife, Alice Craig Morgan, survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Douglas Morgan, Nashville, Tenn., Roger Morgan and Michael Morgan, both of Worthington; two stepchildren, Erica Manno, Lumberport, and Gary Martin, Shinnston; one grandchild, Ginna Lee Morgan Quinn; and two stepgrandchildren, Heather and Sydney Fisher.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Mary Huffman and one sister, Janet Morgan.
Mr. Morgan attended the O'Dell Charity Baptist Church. He formerly worked for Eastern Associated Coal Co., Grant Town Mine and also worked for St. Peter and Paul School and St. Barbara's Nursing Home.
PENNSBORO -- Beaulah M. Seese, 80, of Ellenboro, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Parkersburg.
She was born Feb. 21, 1920, near Weaver, Randolph County, a daughter of the late Franklin and Easter Mahaney Griffith.
Her husband of 58 years, Ralph Barton Seese, preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Jim Smith and Marcia and Mick Richards, all of Ellenboro, Ona and Billy Richards, Harrisville, and Robin and Fred Lambert, St. Marys; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Ruthie Seese, Ellenboro; one brother, Harry Griffith, Steubenville, Ohio; one sister, Kathleen Griffith, Ellenboro; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert Griffith and two younger brothers.
Mrs. Seese was retired from North Bend State Park as a maid with 12 years of service and had worked as a substitute cook at Creed Collins Grade School in Pennsboro. She also worked at the former 3-Point Restaurant at Ellenboro.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 3554 of Harrisville, and the Wilson Memorial United Methodist Church of Ellenboro.
