Doddridge downs Ritchie; Indians grab win
Fred Davis and Tim Bailey each had two hits as Doddridge County held on for an 8-6 win over Ritchie County in prep baseball action Friday.
Matt Bartlett picked up the win for Doddridge County (11-9), while BenJo McKinney notched the save. The win was the Bulldogs eighth in their last 10 games.
n NORTH MARION 15, South Harrison 4: North Marion pounded out 10 hits in the lopsided victory.
Mike Marcozzi and Mike Triviso each had two hits for the Huskies. Drew Toth led South Harrison with two hits.
n BRIDGEPORT 25, Grafton 2: Bridgeport scored 16 runs in the fourth inning to blow out Grafton.
The Indians (17-5) had nine players record a multi-hit game. Erica Rome and Kestrell Lowe paced the offense, each going 4-for-4, with two RBIs respectively.
Adrienne Belcastro, Lindsey Gum, Missy Constante, Michelle Ehrhart and Andrea Rome each had two hits in Bridgeport's 28-hit attack. A. Rome added four RBIs. Megan Miller and Amanda Stanley each recorded two hits.
April Potts (11-3) picked up the win.
