After a quiet campaign in Lost Creek, incumbent Mayor Edward Corkrean came out as the winner in the city's three-way race for the position Tuesday.
According to town recorder Kathy Goldsmith, Corkrean finished with 77 votes. Former Mayor Eugene Alkire and former Councilman Rondal Lake finished with 19 and 15 votes, respectively.
"I'm just glad people stood behind me," said Corkrean after election results were in. "This is a good ol' town."
According to Goldsmith, a total of 113 people out of approximately 250 to 300 registered voters came out to the polls Tuesday night.
In addition to mayor, citizens also voted for five council positions and town recorder. All of these positions were unopposed and all the candidates were incumbents to the position.
In the council election, Sandra Gaston finished with 91 votes; Orvil Lake received 78; Bill Short received 94; Patty Smith received 97; and Dottie Swisher finished with 90 votes.
Goldsmith received 89 votes and retained her position as town recorder.
