WEST UNION -- Doddridge County continued its strong play in February, defeating Calhoun County, 62-36.
Doddridge has won three of four games this month and is 8-11.
Doddridge was led by Lisa Davis and Kate Clark, who each scored 10 points, as 11 Bulldogs scored.
Doddridge's strong defensive showing was key, as Calhoun never scored more than 11 points in any quarter.
Calhoun (7-13) was led by Brandi Richards, who scored 15.
"The defense set the tone for us (Monday)," Doddridge coach Craig Kellar said. "Our last two games, we've played really well, and I think we're starting to come together and play as a team."
With the game knotted at 2-2, the Bulldogs went on an 8-0 run, and Calhoun trailed the rest of the game.
Calhoun was held to 11 field goals, while Doddridge had 26.
n PHILIP BARBOUR 46, Buckhannon-Upshur 32: Philip Barbour (10-8) jumped to a 24-13 halftime lead and cruised behind Gina Ware's 17 points.
Carrie Eggress paced B-U with nine points.
n LINCOLN 73, Gilmer County 49: Jordan Toth's 21 points led Lincoln (13-5) past Gilmer County.
Nick Barron and Carmen Sims each added 12 points for the Cougars, who blew the game open with a 19-4 third quarter.
n DODDRIDGE COUNTY 69, Paden City 54: Chris Gum scored 26 points, and Brad Wilt added 18 to lead Doddridge.
Ben McKinney scored 11 points for Doddridge, which outscored Paden City (4-13), 25-16, in the second quarter.
