CLARKSBURG -- If your tastes run more toward Beethoven than the Backstreet Boys, then the West Virginia Music Teachers Association District II autumn festival may be just the event to suit your musical palate.
The festival will be held Saturday at Waldomore in Clarksburg from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and is free to the public.
Piano students from central West Virginia will be playing compositions and performing musical numbers throughout the day.
"You will hear a variety of music and some of the family members will be performing with their children," said Dr. Virginia Raad, one of the co-hostesses for the festival.
The theme of the celebration is "A Family Affair" and the students may combine poetry, art or dance with their musical selection as well.
Raad is hoping the event will attract music teachers in the area as well as the general public.
The association has celebrated the autumn festival for a number of years, but it hasn't been in Clarksburg for awhile, Raad said.
