WEST UNION -- Gilmer County's Billy Frashure handcuffed Doddridge County batters, holding them to two hits, while his teammates pounded out 12 hits in a 13-0 five-inning victory at Alumni Field Thursday.
Frashure finished the game with nine strikeouts and only one walk.
Gilmer scored the game-deciding run in the first inning.
Leadoff hitter J.T. Townsend walked, stole two bases and scored on a groundout.
The Titans put the game away in the second with six runs on five hits and two Doddridge errors.
Doddridge had a chance for a potential, inning-ending double play but errors on the grounder broke the game open.
Gilmer capped the scoring with a five-run fifth inning, featuring a grand slam by Andy Williamson, who was 2-for-4 with six RBIs.
Jacob Dennison also had a good day hitting for Gilmer, going 3-for-3, while Jessie Smith was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
Doddridge's lone hits were by Lucas Phillips and Tim Bailey.
Doddridge County is in action again at Calhoun County on Monday.
