Unfortunately I have been forced to answer yes to terminating a pregnancy in this survey due to how harsh society is. In theory, I agree that every child should be given a chance to live up to his/her potential. But let us take the time to ask ourselves this: How many people in society do give them that chance? I think more often it is snickering, off-color jokes, and outright rudeness that is the child's reward for being "given a chance". Perhaps if we as a collective consciousness could change that, my answer would someday be different.
No I don't believe she should be encouraged to abort. There are many physicians and hospitals who perform miracles on children/adults with defects and as the years pass more strides are made in surgical procedures. Give this child a chance in life -- abortion is killing regardless of what anyone says.
Offered answers were far too precise without additionally offering alternatives and/or the opportunity to provide our own answers. This kind of question does not generally result in such confining answers. For example, an option could have been: I would encourage the individual to look at all the facts and weigh all the options, but I would never advise about a particular answer in such a case.
It is time for the people in this world to remember that they don't give life, God does. We have no right to be a judge in this matter. Each day I see less of God in our lives and the devil' what ever feels good I hope we can wake up before it to late. God Bless us
Every child has the Right To Life. Doctors are not GOD and just because they say that there will be something wrong with the baby doesn't always mean that there is something wrong with that baby. The power of Prayer is unbelieveable and if a person really believes and prays about it that baby may came out of the womb perfectly healthy. Look at how many times doctors are wrong about the sex of a baby...
My wife and I were faced with a similar situation in 96'. The Drs. stated that our child had Tricimeian(?) 18 based on sonagram. The Drs. pushed for abortion stating the child, should it live, would only live a few years and would be severely handicap. I thank God to be able to say that we had a health, happy baby girl with an IQ that's out of this world. Had we listened to the "experts" we would have missed out on one of lifes greatest blessing.
Of course not, never. God made that chilld just the way he wanted it. My neighbor has a two year old with down's syndrome. He is the most precious child. You can't help but smile at him. He brings his entire family much joy.
God is the creator of all , He has a purpose for us all . It's up to us to make the decision where we will spend eternity , but ..we are all imperfect either by physical imperfections or by mental imperfections , some beings are not beautiful on the outside but have a deeper beauty , but no matter we all deserve to be born and be loved. He loves us no matter what , and we as His children need to love our children in the same manner . Do not kill what God has blessed you with....
