Q1. How do you feel about the right for Napster to hook up people for the exchange of electronic music?

It should be legal and free. Legal, but charge a fee. Illegal, it rips off the artists.

COMMENTS

In my opinion, I see no difference in copying songs from Napster than having a stereo that copies songs from the radio or other cassettes...is there an uproar over dual cassette players? Same thing, you are stealing a song from the artist, except in today's world we are using a computer to do it...should we get rid of the radio stations, or not have them play any music? I think not! My son uses Napster all the time, it only makes him want to buy CD's even more because he gets a chance to listen to the music first, and a lot of the music he would never had listened to if it weren't for Napster. YOu know what? Getting rid of Napster probably would mean more money for me! Maybe I need to re-think this! :-)
Napster should be allowed to do what they are doin..... sharing files with people are no crime....The record companies are still making their millions.
Napster outfoxed the record industry with new technology. Now the record companies are whining like babies when in fact they could have done something about this long ago. Banning Napster is much like banning the sale of blank video tape. The movie industry didn't go out of business with the invention of the VCR. The record companies won't either if (actually, when) Napster wins.
